4.16.21 Five-bolt rear axles


With the underhood painted to match the firewall, inner fenders, and radiator core support, it's time to start reaasembly. But first, we have the matter of the 5-bolt wheel conversion to deal with. 


Here are the 5X5-inch axle shafts. 


And here's the new drum for the 12-bolt rear.


This weekend, it's going to be axle swap time, from 6-bolt X 5-inch OG rear axles to 5X5-inch aftermarket axles. If all goes well, we'll have the rear swapped this weekend. We've also got the front calipers but will wait until the cross-member is reinstalled to put the suspension and brakes back together.
