2.27.21. RASING THE STEERING BOX

With the cross-member sectioned by 1.5",  I now need to raise the steering box by the same amount. But I will also be moving the cross-member forward by 1", so I'll also need to move the frame rail mounting plate forward and upward. 

I started by digging out the OG mounts for my aftermarket steering box. 

I got a piece of cardboard and transferred the OG mount's measurements to it. 

With the measurements transferred, I measure up 2"'s and forward 1" and made new marks for the 

holes. 

Nxt step is to go visit my buddy with the speed shop and see if I can wrangle a piece of steel from his remnants. If I'm really lucky, I can borrow his band saw for twenty minutes. 

If I'm even luckier, I can bribe him with lunch to use his drill press and get the whole thing done in one fell swoop Wish me luck.
